The Firm

Two offices, one standard of practice

Independence first We follow the ICAI Code of Ethics. We keep statutory attest assignments separate from non-assurance services, and we accept an engagement only after checking for independence and conflicts of interest.

T Raghavendran & Associates (TRACA) is a firm of Chartered Accountants established in 2011, with its head office in Tiruvallur and a fully staffed branch at Ramapuram, Chennai. Both offices are run by partners and offer the full range of audit, assurance, taxation, corporate law and advisory services to companies, LLPs, banks, insurers, trusts, SMEs and individuals.

Tiruvallur (Head Office). Our office at MSR Tower, Ma. Po. Si. Nagar, sits close to one of India's busiest manufacturing belts: the Sriperumbudur, Oragadam, Irungattukottai and Gummidipoondi industrial parks. Much of our work there is for automotive and engineering companies, including Indian subsidiaries of foreign groups.

Chennai (Branch Office). Our Ramapuram office serves clients across the Chennai metropolitan area: technology and service companies, hospitals, real estate developers, and high-net-worth and non-resident individuals who need dependable tax and regulatory support.

Working from both offices, the firm has carried out central statutory, branch, concurrent and stock audits for public sector, private sector and co-operative banks. It also audits insurance companies and does statutory and internal audit for corporates in many industries.

01

Partner-led

A partner signs off on every engagement and stays reachable from planning through to reporting.

02

Up to date with the law

We work to the current law: the Income-tax Act, 2025, GST notifications, Companies Act amendments and RBI directions.

03

Technology-enabled

Cloud working papers, secure central storage, data analytics in our audits, and document exchange without paper.

04

On deadline

Every engagement follows a statutory calendar, with clear milestones agreed at the start.

How We Work

The engagement cycle

A structured process that keeps scope, timelines and responsibilities clear on both sides.

STEP 01

Understand

An initial meeting, an independence check, and an engagement letter setting out scope and fees.

STEP 02

Plan

A risk assessment, a list of the information we need, and a timeline tied to your due dates.

STEP 03

Execute

Fieldwork and analysis, with progress updates and open points raised early.

STEP 04

Report

A partner reviews the work, discusses findings with management, issues the report, and files it.

ICAI Peer Review, 2026

UDIN on every attest document

Every audit report and certificate our partners sign carries a Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN), which anyone can verify on the ICAI portal.

Frequently Asked

Questions clients ask us

If your question isn't here, either of our offices can help.

Which office should I contact, Tiruvallur or Chennai?+

Either one. Both offices are run by partners and provide the full range of services. Choose whichever is more convenient for you. Engagements are often handled jointly by both offices.

Do you work with clients outside Tiruvallur and Chennai?+

Yes. We serve clients across Tamil Nadu and elsewhere in India, and NRIs and businesses in the GCC. Documents are exchanged online, and we visit for fieldwork and physical verification where needed.

How are your fees decided?+

Fees depend on the scope, complexity and time each engagement needs. They are agreed in writing in an engagement letter before work starts, so there are no surprises.

Can we appoint you as statutory auditor in place of our current auditor?+

Yes, provided the procedure under the Companies Act, 2013 is followed. Under the ICAI Code of Ethics, we will also communicate in writing with the previous auditor before accepting the appointment.

What do you need from us for a tax audit?+

Usually: finalised books of account, bank statements, the fixed asset register, stock records, GST returns, TDS returns and Form 26AS/AIS, loan statements, and details of related-party transactions. We share a checklist tailored to your business at the start.

How can I check that a certificate from your firm is genuine?+

Every attest document we issue carries a UDIN. Enter it at udin.icai.org to see the details of the document and the partner who signed it.

Do you advise NRIs on property sales and remittances?+

Yes. We advise on capital gains, tax deducted at source on property sales, relief under tax treaties, repatriation under FEMA, and the accountant's certification needed for foreign remittances.
